Capgemini and SAP are expanding their collaboration to support organizations with generative AI in business processes.
Capgemini has announced that it will further expand its strategic partnership with SAP. The companies will focus on implementing generative AI to address challenges in various business processes such as HR, sales, procurement and sustainability. The goal is to help customers improve complex business processes.
Integration of data and AI
According to the parties, the collaboration combines Capgemini’s experience in data and AI with SAP’s business AI portfolio. The focus is on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). Capgemini is therefore expanding its Global SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) on the basis of three pillars:
- Improve business processes: Develop industry-specific use cases to optimize productivity and decision making.
- Accelerating time to market: Integrating AI accelerators into SAP projects to increase efficiency and reduce time to market.
- Training staff: Qualify 20,000 Capgemini employees in SAP AI methods and tools by mid-2025.
Capgemini and SAP are already working with customers to use generative AI. Generative AI is a hype, but it is based on concrete efficiency gains that can be achieved relatively quickly. Large and small companies want to make it clear to their customers that they are the experts in the field of AI.
The closer collaboration between SAP and Capgemini should also be seen in this light. SAP, which is already present in many large companies, wants to show that it is up to date with AI, and Capgemini, in turn, wants to show as an implementation partner that it has the right expertise on board.
