The Windows 11 we use on our computers today is different in many ways from the Windows 11 that arrived in October 2021. During all this time, Microsoft has distributed numerous updates. improving the operating system although it has also removed some functions in terms of performance, stability and features.

Despite this dynamic, some parts of Windows systems have remained intact for decades. A clear example of this is the almost unshakable design of the recently updated Notepad. Now the Redmond company is renewing the mouse settings with two key elements that will please many users.

Mouse settings updated

Windows uses a system reverse scroll If we want to go to the bottom of a page here, we have to turn the mouse wheel in the same direction. MacOS uses natural scrolling. If we want to scroll down, we have to turn the mouse wheel up. This may be a problem for some.

If you are used to the type of scrolling on Mac computers and suddenly have to use a PC, configuring natural scrolling in Windows can be an interesting option. The bad news is that it is not easily possible (unless you use a touchpad). Until now, we had to resort to updating the system registry.

Improved Mouse Scroll Direction

Just enter Adjustment > Bluetooth and devices > Mouse > Direction of travelany. As we can see in the screenshot, when we click it a drop-down menu will open that will allow us to choose between “downward movement slides downwards” or “upward movement slides upwards”.

It should also be noted that this innovation has just reached the development versions of the system, so we will have to wait a while until it reaches our computers. Everything seems to indicate that we will see new regulations. Windows 11 24H2It is expected to come with news about artificial intelligence (AI) later this year.
