Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said the government plans to allocate grants to train Ukrainians in IT courses.
This was stated by the Prime Minister at a government meeting on Friday, June 10, Ukrinform correspondent reported.
In particular, Shmygal noted that in 2021 the number of IT specialists in Ukraine increased by a record 50,000 people, but many companies still have staff shortages. According to him, IT professionals have become a real middle class in Ukraine in recent years, so the state wants to increase interest in the industry and help those who want to enter IT.
“Ukrainian people who want to obtain the qualifications of a junior developer, graphic designer or other technical specialist will be able to receive a grant that can only be spent on training in IT courses. The state will allocate funds to 60 thousand Ukrainians who can later find jobs in this field, “he said.
As reported, the Council of Ministers is launching a new economic strategy that will work under war conditions, help the country’s economy survive, and become the basis for post-war recovery. In particular, there are 6 non-refundable grant support programs for small and medium-sized enterprises.
