He reported that there is polling centers in which they require “scanning” of an ID card, a requirement that is not provided for by law, so he asked to exclude this as a procedure and speed up the voting process.

“I also want to acknowledge that so far the behavior of the Republican Plan (Bolivarian National Armed Forces), as we expected, is in line with the mandate that military citizens have in Article 328 of the Constitution,” he added, referring to the fact that the military institution is “professional, without political belligerence.”

In this sense Presidential candidate Edmundo González Urrutia, a spokesman for the opposition majority, the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD), said he believed the Bolivarian National Armed Forces “will respect” the election results.
