The National Electoral Council (CNE) has confirmed Nicolás Maduro’s victory in the presidential elections in Venezuela.
Elvis Amoroso, head of the CNE, said 80 percent of the data had already been received, showing a “strong and irreversible trend.”
Turnout in the elections was estimated at 59 percent.
