President of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, joined in condemning countries such as USA, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Guatemala, Panama and Costa Rica, who ignored the re-election of Nicolás Maduro to a new presidential term, proclaimed on Sunday evening by the National Electoral Council (CNE), with 51.2% of the vote for the current ruler, compared to 44.2% for the opposition candidate Edmundo González Urrutia.

“I have asked our Chancellor to take the necessary steps to convene the Permanent Council of the OAS “to deal with the delicate situation that Venezuela is going through,” he said in a message on his social networks.

He said that “there are politicians throughout the region who “They are trying to cling to power and are trying to take peace away from our citizens.”

“This is what we are facing, this is the danger of dictatorship, and today we are witnessing how another one of them “Trying to destroy hope for millions of Venezuelans” – he pointed out.

“Ecuador had the opportunity to prevent the interests of a few from prevailing over the will of millions. “Venezuela deserves this opportunity.” – he pointed out.

For its part, the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry issued a statement in which rejected the “lack of transparency” in the elections held on July 28 in Venezuela.”

In the text he condemns “lack of guarantees in the process of publication of results, which reflect the will of the Venezuelan people, delegitimize and distort the election results.”

“Ecuador calls on the international community ensure that the Venezuelan government carries out a full and transparent audit elections with the participation of impartial international observers,” he concludes.

Opposition leader Maria Corina Machado noted that the candidate González Urrutia won the election with 70% of the vote. and argued that the Nicolás Maduro regime had suffered a political and moral defeat.
