Maduro says Musk is his “sworn enemy”; “a donkey,” “a clown,” the businessman replies.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said Monday that the founder of SpaceX and the social network archenemy“who would like to come with his missiles and army and invade Venezuela.”

“There are so-called social networks that create virtual reality, and who controls virtual reality? Our new archenemy, the famous Elon Musk (…). He would like to come with his missiles and army and invade Venezuela,” the president said during the ceremony to proclaim him re-elected president, according to the National Electoral Council (CNE) in Caracas.

Maduro similarly noted that Musk was “embarrassed” by a video he shared (which is now corrupted) as the Caribbean country awaited presidential election results.

“Didn’t you see that? It’s embarrassing. (…) Some footage of people taking some things, some boxes, and it turns out that it was from somewhere a video of people taking some air conditioners. Then he said: ‘The evidence against Maduro is that he stole the elections, the boxes that were stolen from the CNE.’ (…) You are desperate, you made a mistake, Elon Musk,” the president said.

Maduro said he was ready and not afraid of a fight with Musk, while also declaring that “Venezuela respects itself.”

Musk had previously classified – through results released by the CNE – and anti-Chavista leader María Corina Machado had declared that the “new president-elect” was Edmundo González Urrutia, the standard-bearer of the PLO.

He described Maduro as a donkey and a clown (clown).

Sorry for comparing the poor donkey to Maduro. It’s an insult to the animal world.
