Google Chrome is getting new AI features

It’s no secret that surfing the web can sometimes be as dangerous as it is fun. Scammers have many ways to get your hard-earned money, sometimes even without knowing that you’ve been cheated on. That’s why Google uses machine learning to make the Google Chrome browser better and more secure.

Now in a new blog post, the tech giant has announced a few new AI features that will appear in our favorite browser. And as Google emphasizes, all of these updates will use machine learning models on your device, so your information will stay and be processed on your device.

Chrome machine learning tips on your device

Site messages can be very useful, especially if you want to be aware of the site’s content, but for the most part, they’re just “unpleasant” messages, as Google calls them. Therefore, Chrome may guess based on your previous choices that you are unlikely to give your site permission to send messages and therefore block the annoying messages that appear when you first visit the website.

In the next issue of Chrome, thanks to the new machine learning model, these predictions will run directly on your device, without your browser sending information to Google’s servers. Also in March, Google introduced a new machine learning model for Chrome, which, according to the tech giant, detects 2.5 times more potential malicious sites and phishing attacks than its predecessor. In other words, your browsing will be more secure and your browsing habits will be a little more private.

Pages in Journeys are now automatically translated into the language you submitted

Google also announced that Chrome now uses an updated artificial intelligence model to determine the language that knows if the Journeys page should be translated based on your preferences. The technology giant shared that it sees tens of millions of successful translations every day thanks to this updated model. Travel is a Chrome feature that uses artificial intelligence to group your search history into specific topics.

A toolbar to suit your preferences

What Big Ji understands is that each of us has different habits. As you navigate, you can share additional links or use voice search to find answers to your questions. That’s why Chrome will now use machine learning to figure out what you prefer to do and customize the toolbar in real time to show the “most useful right now” action. For example, a button to share you a link, a voice call button, etc. can show. Source
