More and more Ukrainian defense fighters are taking an intensive course in the use of the Browning M2 and MG 42/59 machine guns. Machine guns are supplied as part of Italy’s participation in the list of EU countries sending weapons to Ukraine.

On February 28, the Italian government approved a decree law containing measures to assist Ukraine, including the shipment of military equipment, supplies and equipment. Thus, it participates in the decisions taken by other European Union countries such as Italy, France and Germany on sending arms to Ukraine.
The MG 42/59 machine gun is the only Italian machine gun based on the MG3, an improved version of the MG-42 machine gun.
The Browning M2 is effective against infantry, unarmored and lightly armored vehicles. With very little change, it stays in use longer than any other hand-held weapon in the United States. Source
