Earlier this year, the Ministry of Digital Transformation called on the largest tech companies, Apple and Google, to remove illegal Ukrainian online casinos from their platforms (pictured above).

Blocking these apps is expected to have a significant impact in combating gaming addiction and protecting minors. Unlicensed gambling apps often lack adequate regulation, allowing children, as well as people with gambling addiction, to freely access these platforms.

Blocking illegal online casinos will help combat gambling addiction and protect young Ukrainians from developing addiction. After all, unlicensed gambling programs do not track whether people with gambling addiction or even children are using them.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation thanked Apple for its support and decisive action. The cooperation between the Ukrainian government and international technology companies is seen as an important step in the fight against illegal gambling business.

It is worth noting that the cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Transformation and technology companies such as Apple will set an example for future efforts to regulate Internet activities and protect users from illegal and harmful content.
