Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Xiaomi 15 series flagship phones for China. The Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro, both powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, are expected to launch in October this year. Last week, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed information about the battery size of the Xiaomi 15 Pro. The new leak also discusses the thickness and weight of the device.

Xiaomi 15 Pro thickness, weight (rumors)

The Xiaomi 14 Pro, which was launched in China in October 2023, received a 4880mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Speculations suggest that the 15 Pro could significantly improve battery performance with a 6,000mAh high-density silicon-carbon battery. It will also reportedly support 90W wired charging and possibly 50W wireless charging.

According to new leaks, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will be 8.5mm thick and weigh around 220 grams. In comparison, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is also 8.5mm thick but weighs 223 grams. This suggests that the Xiaomi 15 Pro will have a much larger battery while maintaining the same thickness.

According to other reports, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will feature a 6.74-inch OLED display with micro-curved edges on all four sides. It is expected to offer 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The device will run on HyperOS Android 15.

The rear camera setup on the 15 Pro could include a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50K primary camera with f/1.4-f/2.5 variable aperture, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX8 series periscope telephoto camera with up to 5x optical zoom. The device is also expected to have IP69 dust and water resistance.
