Last June I shared with you the minimum and recommended requirements for Black Myth Wukong and also I gave you some performance data to give you an idea of what we can expect from this game depending on the graphics card installed.
At the time, we did not have information on the optimal requirements to play Black Myth Wukong in 4K, nor did I have information on the possible requirements for playing with ray tracing activated.
Fortunately, the game’s developer, Game Science, decided to expand on the information and shared a new image exhaustively collecting the total six different configurations with different levels of requirements for this long-awaited game.
This mode starts the game in the traditional way and completely dispenses with the complete ray tracing, which is one of the big appeals of this game. Logically in this mode requirements They are much lower and more affordable.
We can play with this configuration 1080p with medium quality. The smoothness rate isn’t specified, but I don’t think we’ll get a completely stable 60 FPS.
In this case, we can run the game using high quality in 1080p resolution. We might be in the 60 FPS range, but I don’t know if it will be completely stable.
The CPU equivalence is still poor as the Ryzen 5 5500 has 6 cores and 12 threads and the Intel Core i7-9700 has 8 cores and 8 threads. The true equivalence would be a Core i7-8700.
The error is also in the graphics equivalents, because the closest to Radeon RX 5700 XT and Intel Arc A750 would be GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER.
We can play with this configuration 4K with high qualityand will most likely maintain a stable 60 PFS. The CPU equivalence bug I mentioned earlier remains. The GPU equivalence is spot on.
This game will feature full ray tracing, a graphical environment that is very demanding, and that will fully utilize the capabilities of RT cores of the third generation part of the GeForce RTX 40, based on the architecture of Ada Lovelace. Logically, the requirements for using this mode increase, but we will also enjoy a higher graphic quality.
With this configuration the game will work 1080p with medium quality and low level ray tracing. The equivalence of the Radeon graphics card was not given, but we will most likely need it. Radeon RX 6700 XT or Radeon RX 6800 due to the difference in ray tracing performance that exists between the Ampere and RDNA 2 architectures.
If we meet these specifications, we can play with the resolution 1080p, medium quality and ray tracing on media. Again, this is not the equivalent of a Radeon graphics card, but we most likely need a Radeon RX 6800 or Radeon RX 6800 XT due to the difference in ray tracing performance between the Ada Lovelace and RDNA 2 architectures.
This configuration will allow us to play 4K with high quality and ray tracing in very high quality. There is no equivalence of Radeon graphics cards, and in this case, I’m afraid, none, because the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER is much more powerful than the Radeon RX 7900 XTX working with ray tracing.
