We are less than two weeks away from the launch of the Pixel Watch 3, the third generation of Google’s smartwatch, which, as you already know, will share the Made by Google event with the Pixel 9 generation, among other devices and announcements that we hope will surprise us on August 13. And although until now the Pixel 9 has been the main protagonist of the leaks, these months we are also getting interesting information about the watch.

Until now yes, the leaks have been happening gradually and gradually revealing to us the news that we can expect from this third generation. However, in the last few hours, there has been a type of leak that is undoubtedly one of those that usually generates the most interest, both because of the amount of information it provides and because because these are promotional images device, and therefore official, we can give them a lot of credibility (although not absolute, of course, because it could also have been modified or even fake).

In this case, there were more no less than 12 images that have leaked, and although we have already been able to deduce the information provided by some of them (for example, the two that indicate the contents that we will find in the packaging of the watch), others confirm a number of data and provide us with other quite interesting ones. So let’s take a look at the most notable ones and what each of them reveals to us:

This image is without a doubt the most revealing of those that have since leaked confirms many of the most important data which has reached us so far. They are the following:

• Two sizes: As we already expected, the Pixel Watch 3 generation will be the first Google smartwatch to come in two sizes, 41 and 45 millimeters. With this news, Google responds to users who have shown interest in a slightly larger model.
• The best screen: the Google Pixel 8 screen, called Actua, makes a leap to this generation of smartwatches compared to the AMOLED panel mounted on the Pixel Watch 2 generation This information tells us for now that the smartwatch will multiply its maximum brightness by two, which will be 2,000 nits. There is no more information about it, but we can expect more news regarding the use of this type of screen.
• Charging and battery: here we find another novelty brought by the leaks, although part will (for logical reasons) only concern the 41mm model. So, on the one hand, we find a 20% improvement in charging time between the Pixel Watch 2 and the 41mm Pixel Watch 3. The difference between the charging time of the Watch 2 and the Watch 3 45mm is not shown, as we expect the latter to have a larger battery capacity. What both new generation models have in common is that they will offer 24 hours of autonomy with always-on mode activated and up to 36 in sleep mode, which is a significant leap compared to the Watch 2 generation (which also made a significant leap in this respect first generation).

As I already indicated, two of the pictures show us what we find when we open the box, and as you can see, there is no change compared to the current generation, that is, the watch with a rubber strap (I confirm that it is very comfortable), the second larger strap (which it also seems a bit bigger on the 45mm model) and a charging cable with a magnetic base on one end and a USB-C connector on the other.

When I suggested earlier that we can expect more news in relation to the screen, this is exactly what I meant. And as you can see, the Pixel Watch 3 bezel will be smaller than the Watch 2 bezel, meaning the 41mm model will have 10% of the screen area. However, the really relevant jump is between the current model and the 45mm Watch 3, because in that case jump is not less than 40%. And as a Watch 2 user, while happy with the screen size, the jump in size to these dimensions looks more than promising to me.

Now we await further news, We already have a fairly complete picture of what to expect from the Pixel Watch 3. Some important questions still remain up in the air, such as possible improvements in smartphone-to-smartwatch integration or the arrival of Gemini AI in the watch. But in any case, this generation promises to be quite interesting.
