Almagro to ask International Criminal Court to arrest Maduro

Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) Luis Almagrowill ask the International Criminal Court (ICC) this Wednesday to indict the Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduroand issue a warrant for his arrest for “premeditation, treachery, cruelty, ferocity, superiority” in suppressing protests against Chavismo.

“Maduro promised carnage, and we were outraged to hear it, and we are even more outraged now that he is doing it. There is premeditation, betrayal, cruel impulse, ferocity, overwhelming odds. It is time for bring charges and an arrest warrant “The International Criminal Court against the main criminals, including Maduro. It’s time for justice,” Almagro wrote on his social media account X.
