AMD decided to delay the launch of the Ryzen 9000 by one to two weeks, depending on the specific model. Ryzen 5 9600X and Ryzen 7 9700X have been delayed from July 31 to 8th Augustand Ryzen 9 9900X and Ryzen 9 9950X from July 31 to August 15th.

When a processor does not pass the verification process, it means that it is not capable of working with the specified specifications, namely it must be modified to become an inferior model or discarded. So, for example, a Ryzen 9 9950X that fails validation can be converted to a Ryzen 9 9900X, and a Ryzen 7 9700X that fails validation can be converted to a Ryzen 5 9600X.

This adaptation process does not require much time and the truth is that it makes a lot of senseespecially if we consider that the processors that suffered the most lag are the Ryzen 9 9900X and Ryzen 9 9950X, which are the most powerful and would be most affected by this type of problem.

What is important, however, is that AMD has decided to take action on the matter and she preferred to wait before launching a product that failed to meet her expectations. It was a very wise decision and without a doubt the best thing Sunnyvale could have done because it is a very important start that will determine the future of the company and serve the new generation of CPUs.
