The UN Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on Venezuela has warned of “violence and allegations of human rights abuses” following last Sunday’s presidential election.

The mission received information O “arrests, injuries and deaths, as well as violence by security forces and armed civilian groups supporting the government” in the protests that erupted after Nicolas Maduro was named the winner.

Still The mission recorded at least six deaths and dozens of wounded among the people who came out to the demonstration, without official data on this matter.

Except, Venezuelan prosecutors report arrest of 749 people in the context of protests.

Finally,The mission expressed “concern about arrest of Narodnaya Volya coordinator Freddy Superlanoand two more people who accompanied him armed men in hoods on the morning of July 30.”
