Venezuela’s Electoral Commission Confirms Maduro’s Victory

Amoroso recalled that CNE was hit by “massive cyber attacks from around the world” that “delayed the transmission of protocols and the process of disseminating results”a complaint being investigated by the prosecutor’s office that names anti-Chavista leader María Corina Machado and other opponents in the case.

This bulletin comes three days after the PUD posted “81%” on its website. electoral protocols which show, according to anti-Chavismo, that González Urrutia won the presidential election by a wide margin.which has been recognized by countries such as the United States, Argentina and Peru.

Following the complaint of fraud, Venezuela has seen widespread protests, leaving 12 people dead, including soldiers, and more than 1,200 detained. The government is treating the situation as a coup d’état, so it has called on the police and military to tighten controls.
