Early Sunday (August 4) SpaceX Starlink launched another batch of its satellites into orbit, continuing a busy season for the company. Falcon 9 The 23 Starlink spacecraft launched at 3:24 a.m. ET (7:24 a.m. GMT; 12:24 p.m. California local time) on Sunday from California’s Vandenberg Space Force Base.
First degree Falcon 9 It returned to Earth about eight minutes after liftoff as planned and landed on SpaceX’s drone ship parked in the Pacific Ocean. This was the sixth launch and landing of this particular launch vehicle, according to SpaceX.
The Falcon 9 upper stage also did its job as planned, delivering 23 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit, the company said, via X. Friday’s launch was SpaceX’s fifth in a little over a week since its July 27 Starlink launch.
Two more on July 28th and one more on Friday, August 2nd.
