Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that his country had deployed F-16 fighter jets as part of a military operation against Russia.

I wish our Air Force and all our soldiers to feel the pride of Ukrainians for our combat aviation and to provide Ukraine with combat results that will bring our victory closer: our just peace for Ukraine,” Zelensky said in a statement.

“I am proud of all our guys who skillfully operate these planes and have already begun to use them for our country,” he said, without giving exact data on their number.

Zelensky assured that “the number of F-16s available in Ukraine and the number “There are not enough pilots already trained.”

The Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Belgium have promised Ukraine more than 60 American fighters and have taken on the training of Ukrainian pilots.

It should be recalled that Ukraine previously operated old Soviet fighters, although their use was limited by the superior capabilities of Russian aviation.
