We have new NVIDIA Game Ready drivers and Studio Driver. The first one is focused on games and comes with the latest optimizations and improvements so that we can get the most out of our graphics card with the latest versionswhile the other is a pro version that brings improvements in various professional applications and offers total stability.

If you’re not sure which of these two controllers suits you best, check out this special I posted a few days ago and you’ll be able to clear up all your doubts. In general, the idea is simple, if your priority is to play NVIDIA Game Ready It should be your choice. On the other hand, if you mainly use the device for work, you should opt for Studio Driver.

NVIDIA Game Ready, news

This driver fully supports new major releases. Hunt: Showdown 1896 is one of them, as it brings a major update to the graphics engine of the original game, which translates into higher graphics quality, although it will also mean more demands on performance. Fortunately, we can enable NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution to improve performance.

It is also optimized for Level Zero: Extraction, where we can activate DLSS 3, which includes Super Resolution and Frame Generation technologies as well as NVIDIA Reflex to reduce latency and improve the gaming experience. On the other hand, this new driver should also bring minor fixes and performance improvements.

NVIDIA Studio, more artificial intelligence where it matters

New NVIDIA Studio Driver Brings Improvements Targeting CyberLinkPowerDirector, Adobe Substance 3D Modeler, SideFX Houdini, and Topaz Video AI Pro in detail so you don’t doubt:

  • CyberLinkPowerDirector takes advantage of the video encoder NVIDIA NVENC, which means full support for RTX Video HDR and NVIDIA NVENC HEVC Ultra-High-Quality mode. This allows for faster alpha channel export, improved and more efficient encoding, all while maintaining high image quality.
  • Adobe Substance 3D Modeler includes Block to Stock, a feature powered by artificial intelligence which speeds up the prototyping of complex shapes and which speeds up the process of replacing raw three-dimensional shapes with more detailed pre-existing models.
  • SideFX Houdini 20.5 integrates Reordering NVIDIA Optix 8 and Shader Execution in the Karma XPU renderer, which allows to multiply the resolution by four in intensive tasks, if we use a GeForce RTX 40 or NVIDIA RTX based on Ada Lovelace graphics card.
  • Topaz Video AI Pro now supports multi-GPU processing with TensorRT acceleration that lets you double the rendering speed with two graphics cards and better scalable performance with multiple GPUs.

Other important news

The work of Stavros Liaskos, who created detailed 3D replicas of Greek Orthodox churches, sacred temples, monasteries and other buildings using the NVIDIA Omniverse platform to create and interface applications with Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD).

The green giant also confirmed some NVIDIA application enhancements, which now includes new display adjustments, RTX Video Super Resolution, RTX Video HDR sliders, and other minor features. Thanks to this application, we can also update our drivers more easily.

The one-click game optimization feature included in the NVIDIA app is already compatible with more than 1,200 games, and if we use this app, which is currently in beta, we can achieve free month of PC Game Pass.
