Antonio Ledezmacoordinator of the International Political Council of Maria Corina Machado’s team, today determined the Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduroas a “tropical version of Adolf Hitler” and warned him that anti-Chavista movement This is no longer an opposition, but the “legitimate government of Venezuela.”

At an event in Madrid former mayor of Caracas condemned the Maduro government for committing “aggression.”massacrethat there are already at least 13 dead and more than 2,000 detained, and asked the international community to exert “increased pressure” against the “crimes” of the Venezuelan leader and the country’s security forces.

Ledezma assured that Maduro, whom he also called “insane” and “a despot”, is establishing “policy of terrorand “he wants to turn Venezuela into a prison” in which opponents are “afraid” to take to the streets in protest.

“As long as Maduro has bullets, we have votes,” Ledezma said, referring to the victory the opposition claims it achieved in the presidential election on June 28 last year, based on the tabulations it published.

Maduro also declared victory, but has not yet published the protocol, despite requests to do so from many governments, including those associated with him, as well as international organizations.

A representative of the Venezuelan opposition abroad, who is in exile in Madrid, said that on the part of the movement led by Machado and Edmundo González Urrutia, the candidate of United Opposition Platform At the July 28 meeting, they will no longer demand election protocols, since “the elections are a closed chapter,” with the understanding that their political faction won the elections.

“We are no longer the opposition, We are the legitimate government of Venezuela“,” he decided, insisting that “the phase of drawing up the protocols is over for us” and that they “are not going to turn into a counterpoint, as the ruling party wants.”

In fact, for Ledezma, the time has come to think only about the transfer of power, since, in his opinion, González Urrutia’s triumph is “indisputable.”

This Monday, Venezuelan National Electoral Center (CNE) has submitted the verification protocol to the Supreme Court (TSJ), which will review the result declaring Maduro the winner.

The electoral body failed to publish the protocols confirming Maduro’s victory as required by law, sparking protests in the country, while the main anti-Chavista coalition released “81%” of those documents, which would have shown González Urrutia winning by a wide margin.

Ledezma reiterated that they are not going to go to TSJ because “minutes say it all“and expressed concern that Maduro is “trying to buy time” to consolidate what he called “election fraud.”

In this sense, he criticized the fact that the protocols have not yet been shown, because “the real protocols show an astronomical advantage” for González Urrutia.
