Fortinet has acquired Next DLP to strengthen its position in data loss prevention and improve integrated SASE and endpoint security.

Fortinet has acquired Next DLP, a company specializing in data protection and insider risk. With this strategic move, Fortinet aims to expand its standalone and integrated data loss prevention (DLP) capabilities. Next DLP is creating a cloud-native SaaS platform with AI and ML capabilities for anomaly detection and classification.

The acquisition fits with Fortinet’s strategy to expand its enterprise security solutions. The integration of Next DLP’s technology will help customers better manage insider risk in SASE and endpoint deployments. Next DLP’s technology will be integrated into the Fortinet Security Fabric and adds DLP capabilities to Fortinet’s Security Service Edge (SSE) offering.
