YouTube traffic in Russia is increasing despite “deliberate slowdowns in service,” data from Russian research firm Mediascope shows. Techno 24.

In July, Russian authorities announced that YouTube would be slowed down in the country. The measure is aimed at the platform’s management, which has often been accused of ignoring Russian “laws.” The blocking of the service in general was a response to the removal of YouTube channels by Russian propagandists.
