From April 22 to May 6 of this year, the international consulting company IPSOS conducted a survey entitled “How it sees the world of metavers and augmented reality” in 29 countries, where 21,000 adults were interviewed; According to the results, Colombia is one of the countries where more people know about these concepts.

How much do people all over the world know about metaversion or virtual reality?

While 92% of Colombians know this is a virtual reality, the world average falls to 80%. However, there are countries where people are even more familiar with the term, such as Turkey, Peru and Poland, where the figure rises to 93%.

On the other hand, the countries where this term is most unknown are France with 46% and Germany and Switzerland with 47%.

Metavers is a word that is currently very popular on the internet and the world average perception of this concept is 52%, in terms of augmented reality, 61% of people surveyed from these 29 countries think they know what it is.

In addition, the same study showed that the younger you are, the more sensitive you are to these terms, because on average 80% of people between the ages of 35 and 49 know the concepts, compared with 75% of people over the age of 50.

The survey not only showed whether people are aware of these technologies, but also measured their attitudes towards them, as 66% thought they would be very useful in learning activities, 64% used them for entertainment, and 62% for work. And attend virtual medical meetings.

A concept that is not so well known but also featured in research is an augmented reality where 50% know what it’s about.

What is virtual reality
