Twitter has its fair share of problems, as we all know.and in addition to the most diverse types from technical to economic. Obviously, this poses a huge problem for its owner, Elon Musk, who made an exorbitant investment to take ownership and control of the social network. And because the billionaire is very, very aware of these problems, in the nearly two years since he took control of the network, he’s taken all sorts of measures to try to settle the score.

Taking the initiative in this sense is of course logical, as I say. he made a huge investment and although he made somewhat less than philanthropic arguments for it, we are talking about a businessman, so it is clear that sooner or later he expected an economic return, which sooner or later will end up in the profit of the operation. I repeat, there is nothing to object to at this point, it is the most normal thing in the world and any other person in your situation would act motivated by the same goals.

Musk’s problem with Twitter isn’t the goal, but the steps to get there. The massive layoffs once they took control completely disrupted the function of verified accounts which could have been improved by then but are no longer useful with the current model, their total lack of capacity to transform the platform into an adequate environment for advertisers’ criteria, some technically disastrous actions … in short, pursuing the right goal through all the wrong paths, one might say.

Which brings us to what happened last night, which is it Elon Musk’s Twitter conversation with Donald Trump was a technical disasteras we can read in The Verge. Various issues caused the meeting to start more than half an hour late after thousands of users reported that they could not access the space where the conversation between Musk and Trump will take place.

As you can read in Musk’s tweet about the previous paragraph, claimed that Twitter suffered from a DDoS attackand this was the reason for the problems that prevented the negotiations from starting on time. However, the most widely held view, which I fully share, is that the real cause of last night’s problems lies in the technical infrastructure responsible for the service. And there are plenty of reasons to think so.

As a regular Twitter user for many years now, I’ve often participated as a listener in many places, and it’s a rare occasion, especially in those that attract a larger audience, that there isn’t some technical issue that might even force me to close that space and continue the conversation in a new one. . The problem is, that’s something Musk should know, let alone learn from a very similar situation last year. but of course It is easier to blame external factors than to assume one’s own faults.. And in this, Musk proved to be a great expert.
