Say goodbye to another outdated program
This is about 3D PaintIt was the biggest update to the then-old core Paint program and aimed to completely replace it. However, it did the opposite.
The first alarm was when one of the users of the X social network reported that while working in Paint 3D, he received a notification about its removal from the Microsoft Store. November 4thAccording to this announcement, the app will no longer receive updates.
Interestingly, such a banner was not available to all users, but later confirmation was found on one of Microsoft’s pages: Paint 3D was added to the list of old Windows functions.
Paint 3D is deprecated and will be removed from the Microsoft Store on November 4, 2024. You can use Paint or Photos to view 2D images. Use 3D Viever to view 3D content, – says the support message from Microsoft.
This move should come as no surprise to anyone who has been following the latest Microsoft and Windows updates. The company announced major changes to its core Paint app as it enters the burgeoning AI market. It adds a host of new features and even the ability to create images using text queries to AI. So it’s safe to say that the core version is now the focus of the company.
