Last week, Huawei launched its vertically foldable Nova Flip smartphone, which comes in four colors: green, pink, white, and black. The Huawei Nova Flip prices are as follows: the 12GB+256GB model is priced at RMB 5,288 (~$740), the 12GB+512GB model is priced at RMB 5,688 (~$795), and the 12GB+1TB model is priced at RMB 6,488 (~$795).

45,000 units sold within 72 hours of launch

Yesterday, the company officially announced that sales of the Nova Flip had surpassed 45,000 units within 72 hours of its launch. This is an 85% increase in sales of the company’s flip phone compared to the same period last year.

The Huawei Nova Flip is reportedly powered by the Kirin 8000 chipset and runs HarmonyOS 4.2. The international version of the phone comes in 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage options paired with 12GB of RAM. This phone packs a 4,400mAh silicon anode battery and supports Huawei’s Super Fast Charge Turbo 2.0 66W fast charging technology, which will reportedly charge the battery up to 100% in 40 minutes.

The phone’s internal foldable display is 6.94 inches diagonal with a resolution of 1136 x 2690 pixels. It’s an LTPO OLED panel that reaches a peak brightness of 1200 nits. The square-shaped external display has a 2.14-inch diagonal with a resolution of 480×480 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Speaking of cameras, the phone has a dual-lens setup on the back, including a 50MP primary with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and an 8MP 112-degree ultrawide behind an f/1.9 aperture. The phone is 15.1mm thick when folded and 6.88mm (leather back) when unfolded. It is notable for being thinner than the Xiaomi Mix Flip and Galaxy Z Flip 6. The leather-backed version weighs 195 grams.
