MMD introduces the Philips and the Philips 34B2U5600C. Both screens support USB-C, have a WQHD resolution and are aimed at the business market.

MMD, which builds monitors under the brand license from Philips, is introducing two new screens. These are the Philips 34B2U6603CH and the Philips 34B2U5600C, which expand the manufacturer’s 6000 and 5000 series respectively.

The two new screens have the same screen diagonal of 34 inches with a screen resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels. The displays have an ultra-wide screen ratio of 21:9 with enough pixels to place two program windows next to each other without compromise. MMD chooses a panel with a curve. The screens have a stand that can be adjusted in height and tilted.

Connectivity

The Philips 34B2U6603CH is the highest-end version and features a USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 port with support for 100W charging via the Power Delivery standard. A 2.5G RJ-45 port is a rather exceptional addition, allowing for very fast Ethernet connectivity.

The Philips 34B2U5600C is the more classic option. The device has a classic USB-C hub with USB 3.2 support on board, but no USB 4/Thunderbolt 4. The RJ-45 port only supports 1G speeds, which is more than enough in most office or home environments. This screen can also charge your laptop instantly.

MMD integrates a pop-up webcam with a 5MP sensor and a light linked to Microsoft Teams. This allows colleagues to see your availability status on your screen. The webcam supports autoframing for noise reduction. The sound comes from two built-in 2W speakers.

The Philips 34B2U6603CH and 34B2U5600C are now available at recommended retail prices of 649 euros and 549 euros respectively including VAT.
