Toyota Brazil now offers this option for both new and used models, along with Avallon, Carbon, Evolution Blindagens and Parvi Blindados. Interested customers can contact their local Toyota dealership to have their vehicle sent to the reservation company of their choice.

According to a special page on the official website, compatible models include the Corolla sedan, Corolla Cross crossover, Hilux pickup and SW4 (Fortuner) SUV. The same applies to used copies, if they are not older than the 2020 model year and have undergone preliminary evaluation at a Toyota dealership.

Companies are reinforcing the body with special compounds and installing thicker windows to make the vehicle safer in case of attack. The armor is reportedly designed to withstand small arms fire and impacts from bats or metal pipes.

The cost is unknown. However, the companies offer a five-year warranty on armor installation services, and a five-year or 10-year warranty on materials depending on specific components.
