BMW officially presented today under the name “crazy barn” BMW M5 Touring 2025. In terms of technology, no announcements were made – the “heart” of the car is the same as that of the sedan. But the body, of course, is its own. The current station wagon is the third in the history of the M5 model and the first since the BMW M5 Touring was launched in the E60 body in 2007.

The M Hybrid system produces 727 hp, 600 hp of which comes from a 4.4-liter V8 engine with two turbines, while the rest of the power comes from an electric motor.

An interesting detail: if the sedan BMW M5 Many criticize the excessive weight, the station wagon turned out to be even heavier: the weight is 2508 kg – 63 kg more than the sedan. But this is logical, given the features of the body structure. But there is one plus: the station wagon’s fun is almost 50:50 (the sedan does not have this). It accelerates to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds – just 0.1 seconds quicker than the sedan. The car sprints to 120 mph in 11.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 150 mph (248 mph or 304 mph with the M Driver’s package).

The car received a large panoramic Sky Lounge roof (the station wagon is all about functionality) behind the rear seat, folding in a 40:20:40 ratio, special atmospheric lighting, a steering wheel with a new design, a curved display panel and an infotainment system in the base.

Sales of the new product will begin at the end of this year, its price in the United States is $ 121,500. That is, the station wagon turned out to be only $ 2,000 more expensive than the sedan.
