BioWare has confirmed the requirements for Dragon Age The Veilguard, one of its most anticipated games, and I have good news to share with you because They are quite low. I have no information on the performance we can expect if we meet each of these levels of requirements, but I imagine the minimums will be for 1080p and low quality at 30 FPS, and the recommended for 1080p and maximum quality at 60 FPS.

Dragon Age The Veilguard uses EA’s Frostbite Engine, a graphics engine that was updated to suit the current generation of consoles, So we can expect a significant jump in graphic quality compared to the last installment of the franchise, although we will see if it ends up being fulfilled in other no less important aspects such as gameplay, narrative and character development.

Dragon Age Veilguard Requirements

Minimum requirements

  • Windows 10 64-bit as the operating system.
  • Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X processor (4 cores and 8 threads or 6 cores and 6 threads).
  • 16 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce GTX 970/GTX 1650 or Radeon R9 290X graphics card.
  • DirectX 12.
  • 100 GB free space.
  • SSD recommended but will support HDD. If we are using an AMD CPU under Windows 11, we will need to have AGESA V2 1.2.0.7 installed.

In general, the requirements are very low, except for the RAM problem, although this should not surprise you, since 16 GB have become the current standardand are both the minimum and recommended game requirements for PC versions on current generation consoles.

There is no major equivalence error, although in general the GeForce GTX 970 is more powerful than the GeForce GTX 1650 (GDDR5 version). As I said, with this configuration the game should run 30 FPS in 1080p with low quality.

Recommended requirements

  • Windows 10 64-bit as the operating system.
  • Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X processor (4 cores and 8 threads or 6 cores and 6 threads).
  • 16 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card.
  • DirectX 12.
  • 100 GB free space.
  • Recommended SSD. If we are using an AMD CPU under Windows 11, we will need to have AGESA V2 1.2.0.7 installed.

I also don’t see any serious errors of equivalence and requirements in general They are quite reasonable. However, I am surprised that there are no changes at the CPU level from the minimum requirements. This could indicate that the game has a low dependency on the said component and that it is made up of a Zen 2 chip with 4 cores and 8 threads.

With this configuration we should be able to play 1080p with high or very high quality and at 60 FPS.

Don’t worry about AGESA V2 1.2.0.7 update problem. This BIOS update was released on June 2022 fix an issue that was causing Ryzen CPUs to tear in Windows 11 using fTPM, a technology that is an alternative to the TPM 2.0 chip, so it’s likely that almost all of you already have it installed. If not, nothing happens, just update the BIOS to the new version.
