Linktree is expanding its offering and will add new social media scheduling tools to its platform thanks to the acquisition of Plann.

Link-in-bio platform Linktree announces the acquisition of social media scheduling startup Plann. Linktree aims to greatly expand its offering and evolve from a link-in-bio platform into a provider of a wide range of social media tools. Linktree will integrate Plann’s scheduling tool into its platform. Current users will switch to Linktree’s platform after this integration. It is not yet clear which Plann tools will be integrated exactly and how much they will cost.

Social media tools

Linktree is a platform that allows social media users to create landing pages for external links. This is regularly used on social media channels such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok to allow users to easily navigate to external links such as websites or signup forms.

With the acquisition of Plann, Linktree aims to offer a social media toolkit that also allows users to schedule and automate their social media posts. Plann will continue to operate its products for now while Linktree integrates Plann’s scheduling features into its platform. Once the integration is complete, current Plann users will be able to switch to Linktree. It’s not yet clear exactly which features will be carried over and how much it will cost.

As part of the acquisition, Plann employees, including founder and CEO Christy Laurence, will join the Linktree team. The amount of the acquisition is undisclosed.
