It was only a matter of time before it happened, and it finally did. Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite and the seed of all the big changes Apple, the App Store, and iOS have experienced in recent months, recently launched its own app store. Indeed, the Epic Games Store is coming to iOS and Android, and it’s leading the way with Fortnite and an unexpected twist: a mobile version of Fall Guys.

Epic Games Store Mobile offers. The new Epic Games store is really simple. There are no frills, no sections, no shortcuts. Instead, there are three games: ‘Fortnite,’ which has been off the App Store and Google Play since August 13, 2020; ‘Fall Guys,’ and the mobile version of ‘Rocket League Sideswipe.’ Those are your three starting points for getting your feet wet on the App Store.

Fortnite

Only in the European Union. Because it would not be possible otherwise, the Epic Games Store for iOS is only available in the European Union, at least for now. It seems to be available on Android. From Epic, they assure us that Apple continues to block access to ‘Fortnite’ and Epic Games for all iOS users outside of Europe, because after all, the opening of third-party stores on iOS is possible thanks to the European DMA.

‘Fortnite’ is back. Although accessing ‘Fortnite’ on Android is relatively easy (just download the APK from the official website), things were much more complicated on iOS. In fact, the only way I could play was via cloud play, and that has its pros and cons. Now that means a better life, at least on the Old Continent. You just need to download the Epic Games Store on iOS and download the game like you normally do on the App Store, and that’s it. The store can be downloaded from the official website.

By the way, not only ‘Fortnite’ is coming, it is also possible to play ‘LEGO Fortnite’, ‘Rocket Racing’, ‘Fortnite Festival’, experiences created with UEFN and the new episode of Battle Royale.

‘Autumn Men’ is coming. Epic’s Grand Prix game isn’t in its prime, but the mobile version does offer a number of advantages. First, it’s free, second, it’s available on iOS (EU only) and Android, and third, it supports cross-play with consoles and PC.

AltStore is getting stronger. As expected, AltStore, which received funding from Epic Games just yesterday, also benefited from this. Starting today, it will also be possible to download ‘Fortnite’, ‘Fall Guys’ and ‘Rocket League Sideswipe’ from this third-party store. They will also be coming to Aptoide for iOS and the ONE Store for Android soon.
