A major new feature is that the new Sorento changes its engine and will now be available with both a turbodiesel engine and the well-known V6 petrol engine.

Kia Colombia launches the updated Sorento, a 7-seater SUV that redefines safety, performance and technology standards for large trucks on the market. The new Kia Sorento is available with two powerful engine options. On the one hand, the new 2.2-liter turbodiesel with variable geometry, developing 199 hp and an impressive torque of 440 Nm, combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission with dual clutch (wet) provides a smooth and efficient drive, ideal for those looking for outstanding performance on any type of terrain. On the other hand, the famous 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine with SmartStream technology develops 268 hp and 331 Nm, combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission, guaranteeing a fun and powerful driving experience.

New design

The new Sorento has also received a significant redesign on the outside. The front end now features vertical LED headlamps and a DRL design that is in line with the brand’s new DNA.
