last tuesday do you remember The new Pixel 9 has been unveiled, including the Pixel 9 Pro Fold… but not here. Unfortunately (though also understandably), the search technology company preferred to gradually jump into new markets, instead of opting for a more ambitious plan, which, due to the lack of maturity of the foldable smartphone market, could translate into a major failure if things did not go well.
However, Google had it from the start reasons for at least moderate optimism with the acceptance that the second generation of his collapsibles was to see. Because? Well, because, while there is room for improvement, the Google Pixel Fold, which was released in May of last year and marked Google’s first foray into this market, received fairly positive reviews from regular users. And just a few days ago, before the launch of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, we repeated the evaluation of use in just over a year, the general calculation of which was very positive.
As I said before, Google has been moderately ambitious about reaching new markets with the second generation of its folding device, which will be officially launched in Germany, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark and the United States (except for Puerto Rico ), France, Ireland, Japan, Norway, the Netherlands, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan, the United Kingdom. I understand, of course, that there must be a lot of work after this final selection, but in a year (if the dates repeat themselves), I hope that the future Pixel 10 Pro Fold will officially arrive in Spain.

And do we have reasons for optimism in this sense? To think that there will be a future generation and that technology will increase its reach again? Well, it’s still early days, but we have reasons to think so, and the latest and most relevant one is found in Wccftech, which states that The Pixel 9 Pro Fold has sold out in several international Google stores, including the US one. Obviously there will be restocking, but a stock out just a few days after going on sale is definitely a sign of success.
Although we haven’t logically been able to see in-depth reviews of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold yet, it seems obvious that Again, Google has taken very good notice of all the feedback adopted over the previous model in order to preserve in this way what users liked and to improve in all aspects in which it was proposed to be necessary. So, while we’ll have to wait another year to see what happens with its successor, there’s no doubt that the trajectory of this foldable device is off to a very, very good start.
