This week Huawei has officially released a new patent for the general public in China, and these are not your usual patents for electronic devices for smart watches, headphones or smartphones. Instead, Huawei Technologies Co. A patent issued by Ltd relies on quantum computing as the next revolutionary step in how our technology will work in the next 10 years.
The patent is listed under the patent number CN114613758A, and Huawei has developed a kind of “quantum chipset and quantum computing device” from the patent listing.
Huawei’s new type of quantum computing device is designed to solve the current problems of quantum chipset manufacturing, which includes the complexity of quantum chipset manufacturing and the poor performance of quantum chipsets compared to today’s batch computing chipsets. In turn, with this new type of quantum chips, in the future it will not only be easier to assemble, but it will also be possible to successfully manufacture more units with higher performance, which means increasing the market share in the industry.
The patent listing outlines the fundamentals of the architecture of Huawei’s recently developed quantum chipset:
Here, the terms M and N belong to a positive integer. “M” is greater than 1 and “N” is greater than or equal to 1.
M sub-chips in a quantum chip will reduce the production overhead and increase productivity. For example, when a sub-chip is found to be defective, only the sub-chip is discarded and the entire chipset can be repaired or reused so that it does not become additional garbage.
Announced by new generation computers, Quantum Computing aims to reduce internet usage and computing speeds 10 times compared to today. For example, let’s say a modern supercomputer takes 108 days (3 months) to calculate 62.8 trillion pi characters, theoretically if we used a future quantum computer, it could hypothetically calculate a total of 62.8 trillion pi characters in 10 days (1.5 weeks). Much faster than 3 months.
While we’re still in the early stages of developing the future of quantum computing, the prospects for quantum computing seem attractively endless thanks to faster Internet searches, lightning-fast financial analysis, shorter trips, more effective cancer drugs, better weather forecasting, and more.
