Chinese sources have fully revealed the range of Intel Core Ultra 200 processors that the chip giant plans to launch in the latter part of this year. K series models will be the first to arrivewhich are the ones with an unlocked multiplier and which will therefore allow overclocking and later the introduction of non-K models.
These new processors are part of the Intel Arrow Lake-S generation. This means they maintain structure two core blocks which we have seen in previous generations and which introduce changes at the architectural level. The P cores are based on Lion Cove, which promises an IPC improvement of up to 18%, and the E cores use the Skymont architecture, which will offer similar IPC to Raptor Cove.
It’s still unclear what manufacturing process the Santa Clara company will use in the Intel Core Ultra 200, and information is conflicting right now. Some point to a node Intel 20Aand others TSMC 3nm node. Both pieces of information make sense and are plausible, but we’ll have to wait for Intel itself to confirm this information.
These processors will have a TDP of 125 watts and They will be released on October 10thalong with new motherboards with LGA-1851 socket and Z890 series chipset that will allow overclocking and will be the highlight of this generation.
All of these processors will have a TDP of 65 watts, except for the T models, which will have a TDP of 35 watts. They will be presented in January next yearcertainly during the CES 2025 celebrations, and will hit the market in the first quarter of this year along with new motherboards configured with the H870, B860 and H810 chipsets.
The prices of these new Intel processors should be similar to the ones the current generation had when starting it.
