The Estonian company Milrem Robotics presented two prototypes of robotic warheads in Belgium and Slovenia.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the national broadcaster ERR.

In Belgium, representatives of a consortium of seven countries participating in the project of the European Defense Fund were shown a prototype of a platform for combat firing, surveillance and delivery of ammunition to infantry units.

In turn, a prototype of the Type-X unmanned combat vehicle developed jointly with the Norwegian Kongsberg was demonstrated in Slovenia. “This was the first public use of such a machine gun with Kongsberg. It is historic in the sense that no one in Europe has shown such opportunities before,” said Kuldar Vyaersi, CEO of Milrem Robotics.

Tanel Tammet, a professor at the Tallinn University Software Institute, explained that unmanned aerial vehicles, unlike unmanned aerial vehicles, have not yet been used due to limited vision and movement and orientation barriers.

For the widespread introduction of ground combat drones and robots, it is necessary to develop their software so that they can move and navigate without the participation of the operator, as well as provide a reliable and powerful communication channel. According to the scientist, it will take years to reach this level of technology development. On the other hand, companies that are already involved in the relevant developments will give them a great advantage in the future.
