MEIZU: Chinese automaker Geely not buying 79%

Currently, Huang Xiuzhang and Taobao China Software Co. 49.08% and 27.23% of Zhuhai Meizu were detained, respectively.

After the completion of this transaction, Huang Xiuzhang’s participation in Zhuhai Meizu will be reduced to 9.79%, Taobao China will withdraw from Zhuhai Meizu’s participation and control; The acquisition of Xingji Times will retain 79.09% of Zhuhai Meizu’s operations and transfer ownership to Zhuhai Meizu’s separate control.

Many users, including both Meizu and Geely, were disappointed after the news.

With a “small factory”, the working situation for Meizu can be greatly improved and funds will be more abundant. The mobile phone project can be developed faster, and the launch of mobile products in the future can be more advanced.

For Geely, many vehicle owners and network users are aware that they are looking forward to Geely machines that will carry much better to systems that Meizu has always been strong in.

We remember that last year Meizu released Flyme for Car, an operating system for the automotive industry, In-Car OS.
