According to Ukrinform, this was announced on Telegram by the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
“The Facebook app is now available in Ukrainian for iOS. But that’s not all, the Ukrainian version of the Messenger app for iOS will be available soon,” said the minister.
He noted that if the working language of the smartphone is Ukrainian, the Facebook application will automatically switch to it after a while.
In addition, the Reels feature, which allows Instagram users to record 15-second videos and add music and visual effects to them, will soon be available in Ukraine.
“I would like to thank Meta for its strong support of all our initiatives and Ukrainianization. We continue to work to ensure that as many applications as possible have the Ukrainian language in their settings and work fully in our country,” Fedorov said.
As reported, in May, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov discussed opening an office in Ukraine with Nick Clegg, Head of Global Affairs of Meta, owner of Facebook and Instagram.
