Emulating PS4 on PC is progressing with ShadPS4 Emulator at such a fast pace that the truth is, it’s a bit dizzying. A few days ago I told you that the said emulator was able to run Bloodborne on PC, albeit with a very poor resultbecause it showed serious graphical errors and also didn’t get past the brightness adjustment screen.

It’s been a little over a month and this emulator has already managed to overcome all those limitations. He’s able to move Bloodborne on PC and create the correct color representation and he flows smoothly through all the intro menus to get us straight to the actual game.

The jump was so big that even we can fight the “final boss of the game”, in quotes because, as some of our readers know, it will depend on the ending we choose. In case you haven’t played it, I won’t tell you anything else because I don’t want to give you spoilers.

Bloodborne keeps getting better on PC

The truth is that it is spectacular to see that it is already imitated Speed up to 144 frames per second. The PS4 version was developed to run at 30 FPS and had such major stuttering issues that it ended up feeling like you were playing at a much lower speed.

To achieve this level of performance, we need to have a high-end computer configured with an Intel Core i9-13900K or higher and a GeForce RTX 4090, but over time optimizations will be presented which will reduce the requirements for optimal Bloodborne emulation on PC.

Emulation still far from perfectand it has many things to improve as it presents serious graphical errors and there are even blocks in which enemies and objects completely disappear, leaving completely black areas in their place.

However, as I said, it shows development and a huge improvement from what we saw just a month ago, and it’s really promising. If development continues to improve at this rate, we may have optimal emulation before the end of the first half of 2025.

Sony has a golden opportunity to launch Bloodborne Remastered before the title unofficially arrives on PC thanks to emulation, but the Japanese company doesn’t seem to be the least bit interested in taking advantage of it. Too bad because I’m sure about the game millions of units would be sold on PC.
