Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Endorses Trump After Suspending His Presidential Campaign

Independent candidate for President of the United States. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. confirmed at a public event this Friday that suspends White House campaign and offered his own support Republican candidate Donald trump.

This was stated by the 70-year-old politician, the son of Robert Kennedy and nephew of former President John Kennedy, who was assassinated in the 1960s and who, according to polls, had less than 5% of voter support.

“I’m not stopping my campaign, I’m just pausing it and not stopping it. My name will remain on the ballot in most states,” though not in the key ones that could determine who wins the election – Donald Trump or Kamala Harris, he explained.

In a speech that lasted nearly an hour, Kennedy said it had been extremely difficult for him to make the decision, which was causing “difficulty” for his wife, his children and his friends, but that he had done so because the Republican billionaire had promised him that if he achieved the presidency, he would let him fight for his leitmotif: put an end to chronic diseases such as diabetes.

“If President Trump is elected and keeps his word, the enormous burden of chronic disease that is now demoralizing and impoverishing the country will disappear,” he said, referring to Trump’s promise of some kind of public health position if he takes office.

“If you give me the opportunity to solve the chronic disease crisis and reform our food production, I promise that within two years we will see a dramatic reduction in the burden of chronic disease.

“We’re going to make Americans healthy again,” he said.

‘I want to thank Bobby’: Trump

Minutes after the still-independent candidate’s announcement, Trump thanked him for his support: “I want to thank Bobby. What he did was something very good and really important. He’s a great guy that everybody respects,” he said at a campaign event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kennedy made his statement in Phoenix, Arizona, a state where Trump is holding a campaign event this Friday afternoon that could be attended by the politician who in his speech sharply criticized the Democratic Party for militarizing his father and his uncle, whom he has mentioned several times.

“The Democratic Party has become the party of war and corruption”: RFK Jr.

“I left this party in October because it had moved so far away from the core values I grew up with and had become the party of war, censorship, corruption, big pharma, big tech, big agriculture and wealth.

“They have abandoned democracy by canceling the primaries to hide the cognitive decline of the sitting president,” he said.

His race for president began not with the Republican Party, but with the Democratic Party. Last April, she presented herself as an alternative to President Joe Biden and announced her bid to become the Democratic nominee. That decision did not sit well with members of her own family, who sharply criticized her.

However, in October, he announced that he was leaving the Democratic Party to run for the White House as an independent candidate as an alternative for those dissatisfied with traditional politics.

Kennedy Jr. and Trump Flirt

And all this until the independent politician began flirting with the Republican after the assassination attempt on Trump in July.

During the Republican National Convention held that same month in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a recording of a phone call between the two was leaked in which Trump asked Kennedy for support and they discussed the possibility of Kennedy joining a future administration. (EFE)
