Car owners Tesla’s They report issues with the latest version of their “fully autonomous driving” (FSD) software that they say are causing cars to run red lights.

One Reddit user who encountered this issue was a driver who wrote: “Luckily I stopped the car before the traffic lights, but I hope Tesla realizes that their software is at a very dangerous level right now.” Another user added: “I’ve had this happen to me once or twice below 30 mph. I have trust issues because of this.”

A video showing the problem was posted on YouTube, with the driver of the car taking the video shouting: “Don’t do it! This is a red light,” as the car attempted to run a red light at an intersection in downtown Newark, New Jersey.

The red light allegations are particularly concerning because Tesla is already under federal investigation over its software being involved in at least 13 fatal crashes.

Tesla has also been slammed for not doing enough to fix the problem and for misleading the public by exaggerating the capabilities of its driverless vehicles. The problems come amid plans to launch Elon Musk’s robot taxi, which has also been plagued by accidents, breakdowns and criticism from pedestrians.
