Eaton launches the Eaton 93PX and 93T in Belgium. Both oversized UPS devices are designed to keep professional environments with servers online during a power outage.
Eaton is launching two new UPS devices for servers and small data centers. The first device is the Eaton 93PX. This UPS is designed for rack mounting and has a footprint of 3U. The UPS supports 15 kVA to 20 kVA, depending on the model selected. The device offers an online efficiency of 96 percent.
The unit allows for flexible mounting so you don’t have to put it in a rack. You can also lay the UPS on its side and the screen on the front will automatically rotate to the correct orientation. This feature can be useful for SMEs with limited space in their server room.
93T: tailor-made for server rooms
The Eaton 93T is a larger device, configurable with a power output of 15 kVA to 80 kVA. Depending on the capacity selected, Eaton supplies the device in three different sizes. In any case, the Eaton 93T is a device that should be placed upright, for example next to some server racks.
While the 93PX is designed to power multiple servers in a rack in the event of a failure, the 93T is designed to help keep server rooms and small data centers online. Eaton is particularly targeting organizations in the financial and healthcare sectors, industry and government.
Efficiency
Eaton is confident that the 93PX’s integrated energy saving system can increase efficiency to 99 percent. It does this by turning off components when there are no power problems. Within two milliseconds, the UPS is fully awake again when needed. This efficiency should reduce the total cost of ownership of the unit over its lifetime.
Both devices are integrated into Eaton’s Brightlayer software. The manufacturer also launched devices for edge environments and the office earlier this month.
