Check Point Software acquires Cyberint Technologies. The acquisition will strengthen the capabilities of Check Point’s Security Operations Center and ensure that the Check Point platform can better detect external threats?
Check Point Software Technologies is expanding its security platform through the acquisition of Cyberint Technologies. Founded in 2010, Cyberint specializes in its external risk management solutions through a platform called Argos.
Argos protects companies from threats such as leaked credentials, fake websites and vulnerable internet applications. For example, if a malicious link arrives via a good-looking phishing email, Argos will detect it. Cyberint also monitors the dark web in search of leaked information about a company.
AI-controlled
Cyberint’s AI-powered solutions deliver actionable threat intelligence within twenty minutes of installation, enabling security teams to respond to threats quickly. Check Point will integrate this platform into its own offering.
With the acquisition of Cyberint, Check Point aims to warn customers about targeted threats faster and better. Cyberint’s technology complements that of Check Point and will therefore expand its protection and detection capabilities.
The takeover is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, subject to the usual approvals. Both Check Point and Cyberint are Israeli companies. The parties have not disclosed the acquisition price, but a local source speaks of $200 million.
