The “world’s fastest armored vehicle,” as its creators put it, has been presented US Armor GroupThe Lucid Air was created based on the Sapphire and was designed to change the preconceptions about the luxury of armored vehicles.

The car received a three-motor all-wheel drive system with a capacity of 1234 hp. This allows the standard model to accelerate from 0 to 96 km / h in 1.89 seconds, reach a top speed of 330 km / h and have a range of up to 687 km.

US Armor Group Lightweight composite armor that is “10 times stronger than ballistic steel but five times lighter” was added, along with lightweight ballistic windows that can withstand .44 Magnum rounds.

The armor added only 175kg of mass, roughly equivalent to two passengers, so the company said the model could still reach a top speed of more than 320km/h.

In addition to the armor, the vehicle is equipped with an “impenetrable Internet/WiFi security suite” that promises to protect data from hacking attempts. The company said the model receives “advanced technology that continuously scans for nearby threats while in transit, gathering intelligence from over one million sources, including local police and fire scanners.”

Customers can add stronger armor to protect against grenades, explosive devices and high-powered rifles. Options include: electric shock door handles, pepper spray hidden in the armrest and hidden weapon storage. Prices start at $475,000.
