Google Maps has been revamping the aesthetics of its app since May. We now have a more minimalist map, a less overloaded bottom bar, and a more modern interface overall. The changes don’t stop happening and Google plans to continue to deliver news.

Now it’s time for icons: Google Maps is revamping the pin-shaped map markers we’ve always seen. It’s recommended that you know how they’ve changed so that we don’t get confused when we go to use the app. This is what the Google Maps icons now look like.

After the bottom bar with fewer elements and the map with softer colors, it’s time to discover the new changes: icons in the form of pins (or pushpins, depending on how you see it) are now available new colors and shapes.

Despite this shy change, most of the pins are pretty much the same inside, while others have changed. Museums, for example, have gone from teal to pastel purple, while zoos are shown in a lighter tone.
