Google’s new Quick Reply feature lets you reply to an email faster in the Gmail app on Android.
Sending emails in Gmail on Android will be as easy as sending a text message. Google describes in a blog post how users can send replies to emails even faster thanks to the “Quick Reply” feature. Instead of opening a whole new window to send your reply, a text field appears at the bottom of the conversation window where you can enter your email address.
The feature will also be available to iOS users later this year. Two months ago, Google introduced Gemini in the Gmail sidebar, which helps users compose an email, among other things.
Previously, if you wanted to reply to an email in Gmail on your Android device, you would see a whole new screen. Now Google is making it easier by allowing you to reply to emails right at the bottom of the conversation window without having to open a new window. What’s more, you can still see the original email as well.
Open an email in the Gmail app on your Android device and click in the text box below. Then type your reply and tap the Send icon. To switch to full-screen view and compose your reply, click expand to full screenThe feature will also be available for iOS devices later this year.
