Company SpaceX A launch vehicle was launched early on the morning of August 28 Falcon 9 With the next batch of satellites of the Starlink system. The launch was successful, the devices were brought into Earth orbit, but more than one first stage of B1062 overturned during landing on the platform in the Atlantic Ocean.
The first stage of B1062, launched for a record 23rd time, was severely damaged during a vertical landing on the offshore platform A Shortfall of Gravitas and is likely to be rendered unusable.
Falcon 9 Booster 1062, on its 23rd flight after sending 21 Starlink satellites into orbit, overturned and exploded while landing on the drone ship ‘A Shortfall of Gravitas.’ It was the first Falcon 9 landing failure since February 2021. This is the first time in more than three years that SpaceX has lost one of its reusable first stages.
