A leaked sketch of what will theoretically be the final design of the PS5 Pro Generally speaking, it’s very similar to the PS5 Slimbut it presents some differences that allow you to tell the two models apart at first glance.

One of the most obvious differences in design is on the side covers. The PS5 Pro has three rows that create a striking effect, while the PS5 Slim only has one row. Another difference that is obvious is the greater thickness of Sony’s new console.

Possible PS5 Pro design.

Since the sketch is in black and white, we can’t say anything about the colors that Sony will use in the PS5 Pro chassis, but I think it’s very likely that it will be white on the side covers and black on the chassis.

One thing catches my eye a lot, and that is the sketch I see no trace of optical mechanics. It can be integrated into the side that is not visible, but it would have to be very compact to go unnoticed.

PS5 Slim design.

The PS5 Pro could come without an optical drive

This is the source theory that escaped this sketch. He says that there is a possibility that Sony will decide to launch the PS5 Pro without an optical drive in order to reduce the selling price, and that ultimately it is up to the user to decide whether they want to buy said unit separately or use the console. as a fully digital model.

It makes sense, especially since everything indicates that the price of this console will be very high and without an optical drive it could help reduce about 100 euros, approximately. All in all, this is just a theory and unconfirmed, so keep that in mind.

We already know the rest of the PS5 specifications. This console could be equipped with a 3.85 GHz octa-core Zen 2 CPU, 16 GB of 18 Gbps unified GDDR6 memory, Radeon RDNA 4 GPU with 3840 shaders and a 2TB high performance SSD.

There will be a PS5 Pro presentation in the first half of Septemberaccording to this new information, that is earlier than we planned, as we believed that the said presentation would take place at the end of September to take advantage of the Tokyo Game Show scenario.

This does not mean that the presentation date and the release date will coincide. Sony may introduce this console in mid-September, but this not available until October.
